NOTICE OF ANNUAL MEETING - MAY 23RD, 2024 AT THE NIOBRARA COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS
Members will be receiving registration cards for Annual Meeting in the mail the first part of May. These cards should be brought with you to the meeting. They will be scanned in the registration process. This saves time for everyone in line and increases efficiency for staff.
If you can not attend and want to appoint your proxy, please fill your card out according to instructions provided on it and turn the card in to our office, or give it directly to the designated proxy holder. Call our office with any questions on the use of proxies.
Election of Directors will take place during the business meeting. Three incumbent director have been nomination for re-election. No additional nominations or petitions to be placed on the ballot have been received in accordance with NEA Bylaws. An uncontested election means nominees may be re-elected by acclimation and ballot voting need not take place. Regardless of voting, the association has a lot of business to cover and we welcome an active and engaged membership participating in the meeting.
Along with coverage of financial business, system updates will be presented, the Coop Spirit award will be announced, scholarship winners will be honored, NEA employee service awards will be presented, door prizes will be drawn for and a delicious meal will be enjoyed.
Registration begins at 5:00 p.m., meal and business meeting to follow.
Time of Use Customers
On March 28, 2024, the Wyoming Public Service Commission approved the following changes to the NEA rules and regulations concerning peak energy periods. These changes will take effect on April 1, 2024.
NEA’s Peak Period shall coincide with our wholesale supplier Tri-States’ Peak Period which is 1:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. daily, Monday through Saturday excluding the following holidays should they fall within the Monday through Saturday timeframe: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Please call the office if you have any questions.
The first 30 pivots signed up for the Irrigation Assessment will be scheduled for mid-May evaluation. This is a FREE assessment during May of 2024.

Warehouse Coordinator
Position Overview: Oversee warehouse operations and support recordkeeping for the line department. Job functions include: Maintain the warehouse, PCB Management, Material tracking, Data entry from staking sheets, Picking material for daily jobs, Deliver material to job sites or outpost, SDS maintenance, Coordinate PPE purchasing and testing, Coordinate inventory counts and purchases, Obtain parts and material quotes from various suppliers, Assist other departments as needed, Building and grounds maintenance, Assist with truck maintenance, other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Ability to routinely lift 75 lbs., Ability to safely operate a tractor and skid loader, High school degree or equivalent, Have a working knowledge of first aid treatment and be able to administer aid, Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, Intermediate or above average computer skills, Ability to learn and operate a cataloged electronic inventory system, Ability to perform vehicle maintenance.
CDL preferred.
Hiring range $20.00 - $25.00 based on experience. Excellent benefits.

Accounts Receivable Specialist
Position Overview: The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for performing accounts receivable and other duties daily. This role is part of a cross-functional team that ensures accurate and timely processing of cash receipts, payments, invoices, electric bills, including account and meter verification for accuracy. Also responsible for reviewing and reconciliation of general ledgers that are directly impacted by accounts receivable functions, perform balancing and closing procedures. This role interacts with multiple departments to identify, investigate, and resolve payment application and billing issues.
This position also serves as a backup to the metering department.
